This sax is a worthy alternative to the high maintenance vintage instruments on the market today and should appeal to anybody looking for a high end instrument that is extremely versatile with a vintage pedigree. Item 463115 Model 72Featuring a full ribbed construction and a heavy lacquered dark gold finish, the Selmer Paris Reference 54 Alto Saxophone Standard. I found the Reference 54 a dream to play from top to bottom with a medium amount of resistance just enough to help shape your sound and produce that famously centred warm tone. Case has some scuffs and scratches and general wear. It includes the hard case and pad savers. It is in great playing condition and is ready to go. It has some light scuffs and scratches but no dents or dings. For future Reference 54 alto reference, this horn was briefly offered for sale in the SotW marketplace and then consigned to and sold by Saxquest around June 2021. The lacquer shows light wear around the thumb rest. The structural integrity of the horn is perfect. Pads are in good shape and came with a setup from Saxquest where I bought the horn used.
